Furniture that embraces - Interview in the Goodlife magazine

A family business in Eupen, Eastern Belgium, develops residential objects that provide exceptional comfort for moments of relaxation. Teamwork, mutual trust, and a touch of originality are the recipe for success.

Behind every piece of furniture by Mobitec lies not only design but also a story – a story of passion, craftsmanship, and above all, family. Marie Claeys, the Marketing Manager at Mobitec, shares in a recent interview how she and her mother run the family business in its third generation.

Founded by her grandfather over 30 years ago, Mobitec has since transformed many apartments, houses, and workplaces into true havens of comfort. It all started with chairs that were not only beautiful but, above all, comfortable. Today, our collections represent more than that: they symbolize shared moments and a piece of home that lasts across generations.

“What sets us apart? Trust and teamwork. We are a family business through and through. Our employees and customers feel that,” says Marie. Alongside her mother, Anne, she is driving Mobitec’s vision forward – always close to people and always focused on what truly matters: wellbeing.

Behind every chair, table, and bench, there is true craftsmanship – something that is particularly important to us. “For us, design means not only aesthetics but also functionality and durability. Our furniture is meant to be companions for many years.”

We believe that furniture is more than just objects. They are the stages for both small and big moments: Sunday breakfasts together, dinners with friends, the laughter and stories shared in a room.
